Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained as needed to answer it. Messages remain within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can automatically provide the servers with technical visit details such as:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device to help measure site use, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers aggregate this traffic information. Browser controls can block cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
No database of court dockets or personal case-record information is hosted, compiled, maintained, or sold here. The published material identifies where Pawnee County records are held and how official sources may be reached. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case profiles, and this private resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules apply to information submitted through those tools. Those practices are outside our control, so review the provider's policy before searching.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to clerk of court pages, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service can promise absolute security, however, and a breach-free system cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor's information was submitted, request its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Kansas law, including the Kansas Open Records Act procedures in K.S.A. 45-220 and exemptions in K.S.A. 45-221, governs public-agency records rather than turning this private site into a court-record custodian. Applicable privacy or consumer-protection law may also provide rights over visitor data. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. An updated version will appear here with a new effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
